All different. All equal. All learning.

Our Vision
Through expert teaching and an inspirational curriculum, children at George White Junior will develop the confidence and the skills to shape the future.

Our Mission

We have high aspirations for the children who attend our school and strongly believe in the importance of communication, reading, writing and mathematics as the core skills which will give children the confidence to become ‘authors of their own life stories’. We provide opportunities for children to discover new talents, new interests and the power of their own unknowable potential. Through our respect ethos, we nurture their respect for themselves and their respect for others: We go the extra mile to ensure that inclusion is a reality for all of our children and that everyone feels valued and a part of our learning community.

How are we going to make it happen?

  • Strategically improve subject knowledge, assessment for learning and differentiation of all teaching staff.
  • Build capacity to ensure that the leaders can have a positive impact on the quality of teaching in all classes.
  • Ensure that the school is developing confident children who can identify their progress in Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural education.
  • Raise attainment in reading, writing, VGPS (Vocabulary, Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling) and maths for all groups.

Our ethos:
At George White we are helping children to develop their respect for others and respect for themselves.  We believe that our learning should help us to be good people.  This is what respect means to us:
